Metformin, a widely used diabetes drug, has been proven to have positive effects on patients with AMD. CUBT has a patented formulation for the direct delivery of metformin to the eye in the form of eye drops. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) will be funding a clinical trial on humans in 2024 in collaboration with the company. There has been a number of delays in the start of the trials, hence the low price, but the price has been firming up this past month. Although difficult to predict when these announcements happen, at these prices, CUBT is worth buying a small position (you can define "small") to make certain you are following the news and the price reaction so you can average up on your original position. Check the CUBT website out to see more info on the trials and the company's other drugs in the pipeline. Target Price by end of First Quarter (assuming clinical trial announcement)--$0.15).
