Everyone in those cults put their entire belief in their master, despite family members coming to their aid.

Ex:Jim Jones (Guyana) told his cult members that a cataclysmic was going to take place i believe in the late 60’s. Well, that never happened and eventually around 700 took their lives by way of cyanide.
