There was a psychologist in the 90's, Bill Williams, who studied stock volume relativity to price action. He found today's price action is often (90%) a precursor to opposite reaction. He called it "squat". I am already long but I find these events interesting..... enough so that I sometimes trade them stand alone. My initial interest was the momentum event of December 18 which has yet fully flowered.
