I doubt it. The Douchebag CEO has never discussed how spider-ish silk performs with water in the past 15 years.

In general, silk is a delicate fabric and can easily be damaged by water. That is why the majority of silk clothing is dry clean ONLY.

Silk is known to shrink when contacted by water. Silk fibers swell and contract significantly when wet. Improper washing or exposure to rain can cause irreversible shrinkage and loss of shape.

Silk can get permanent and visible water spots where water has dried.

Repeated soaking or even frequent brushing when wet can weaken the silk's delicate fibers, potentially leading to tears or rips.
