No doubt it is a tough road. A talk with Ben told me this wouldn't happen over nite and his estimate was well within July 12th 2024. It sounds like Kim is well aware of the requirements. It is a matter of putting the current science into white paper format.

Sweating deadlines is part of government programs. If you read the doc, there are alternatives in an agreement.

"However, the Government may consider award of a Cooperative Agreement in rare
situations if it is a better fit for the requirement."

So there is no telling how this will take shape. This however means that you have to be willing to share or price things cheaper. It is a dangerous area, or it could be. The gov can't have ownership, but you still have to be willing to do a deal with the potential of having them as an overbearing master of sorts.

Jon has had his hands full with production etc, but dealing with government was his thing in his previous position in the hydrogen fuel space. This is to say they know what they are getting into.

I can see them getting more government affairs positions eventually, but this should be doable, and likely unappreciated.
