I had some time today, so thought I'd do some internet digging. I'm no expert, so this probably is nothing, but...

The Congressional Bill that enabled the RFI that KBLB responded to from the Air Force (National Defense Authorization Act for FY23) was amended/clarified a bit in the NDAA for FY24 (HR 2670).

The pertinent amendment is small, in section 216:
SEC. 216. MODIFICATION OF SUPPORT FOR RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT OF
BIOINDUSTRIAL MANUFACTURING PROCESSES.
Section 215(c)(1) of the James M. Inhofe National Defense
Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2023 (Public Law 117-263; 10 U.S.C.
4841 note) is amended by inserting ``pharmaceutical biologics and
associated precursor materials,'' after ``commodity chemicals,''.

This new bill went to the President's Desk last week.

May open up more doors for KBLB re: sutures, etc? May be the reason funding awards haven't been released yet?

Just speculation, but I'm taking it as good news.
