In early September, TSA announced it would provide airport operators with 12 months of “informed compliance” to give additional time, if necessary, to implement the initial aviation worker screening requirements. However, TSA did not modify or extend the underlying ASP amendment, leaving in place the mandate for airports to purchase and use EDS equipment for aviation worker screening in future years.
