President Donald Trump is currently leading President Biden in seven crucial swing states, according to a recent poll. This development deals a significant blow to Biden's reelection campaign as the primary voting season approaches.

The survey, conducted by Morning Consult and Bloomberg News, revealed that Biden lags behind Trump by an average of 5.28 percentage points in the seven swing states examined — North Carolina, Georgia, Wisconsin, Nevada, Michigan, Arizona and Pennsylvania.

Trump's lead over Biden is most pronounced in North Carolina at 11 points and Georgia at 7 points. He also leads in Wisconsin by 6 points and Nevada by 5 points. His smallest leads are seen in Michigan and Arizona where he leads by 4 and 3 points respectively.

This poll included hypothetical ballots with party front-runners Biden and Trump as well as third-party candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Cornel West and Jill Stein. Participants also had the option to choose an unlisted candidate or respond with "don't know/no opinion," or opt out of voting altogether.

Even when third-party candidates are removed from consideration, Trump continues to lead Biden across all seven states. However, the race narrows within a margin of error of six percentage points in Georgia.

When it comes to economic issues, respondents showed more support for Trump than for Biden. On the other hand concerning health care issues; five out of the seven swing states showed slight preference for Biden over Trump — these include Arizona, Michigan, Nevada Pennsylvania and Wisconsin while Trump still led on this issue in Georgia and North Carolina.

These results follow a trend seen in recent polls showing Trump holding leads over incumbent President Biden across several battleground states including Michigan where he has a ten-point lead according to CNN polling data.

Despite these challenges facing his campaign team; they remain focused on highlighting key differences between what they term as "the extreme MAGA agenda" versus President Biden’s popular agenda which they believe has delivered tangible benefits for young people and Americans of all ages.

The Morning Consult/Bloomberg News poll was conducted among swing-state voters from Nov. 27 to Dec. 6 and has an overall margin of error of 3 percentage points.

In other news, gas prices sore to $6 in some states, well beyond the national average.
