this i believe is what the "trials" is about...

im not so sure its a lab batch...i think its from a test run at GSS...

from todays pr:

"today announces the early start to the production season with the successful manufacture and delivery of the most recent batch of recombinant spider silk."

Prodigy doesnt have a "production season"...it can produce year round...
