Political discussion is one thing. Partisan bickering is another. There are very few times that someone says "Which candidate in the election will be better for FNMA?" that the vast majority of the replies stick to discussing that in a non-partisan manner. It invariably gets responses like "That senile libtard and his minions are going to run this country in the ground" or "That orange lunatic dictator will plunge this country in a darkness this country never imagined". Then it just devolves from there.

That's why people are getting warning PM's and getting restricted because they, for whatever reason, refuse to keep partisan discussion off this board. If that's what people want to talk about - they can do so elsewhere on this site or they can create their own political board.
