If the R put any candidate other than DJT, it will be a Set game and match for the R and they will win easily..

If the D put any candidate other than JB (vs DJT),, they will get the advantage as non MAGA (most folks that are not MAGA) does not want any more drama and hoopla that surrounds DJT

If its JB vs DJT (Sadly for the nation), ), i still think DJT will have the edge.. Lot of things could change but JB is extremely old and i am strongly feeling he will pull out on dr's advise and DJT will have his own legal troubles that he will back down on some hush hush deal

Coming to your point, there is a good chance this admin may sit on it till November (thinking that they are going to win) and if and when they lose, quickly do something between Nov and Jan, ala Trump plans.. Whether they will have enough time to m ake a major plan, i dont know.. May be a 5th amendment? Possible
