For instance, how often have you seen a news report that a defendant, let's say Corporation X, agreed to settle with the plaintiff in an out of court settlement, and that news report stated something like, "the terms of the settlement are not available" or "The terms of the settlement were not disclosed." Why would this situation be any different? My speculation is that Intel settled for a larger sum than $2.25 million, but included some nondisclosure language in the agreement.
