Very interesting.

"Beginning Monday, April 1, 2024, CME Group settlement data will no longer be accessible through ftp.cmegroup.com and will have a delayed publication time of 12:00 a.m. CT on all cmegroup.com web pages. Learn about alternate ways to access the data in our FAQ."

https://www.cmegroup.com/markets/metals/precious/silver.settlements.html

It must mean they are watching. People are figuring this scam out and they are scurrying to hide.

We'll see how much data they hide. Is it just the settle price? They are showing the current Dec '24 settle price at 24.30. They IS very important to know. Or are they going to also block the open interest?

This site is the key of knowing what the future price of silver is going to be. This is unfortunate news. And they know that. Hide hide hide. I honestly am surprised that they kept it accessible for this long. If I can figure it out I am sure others have too. You never see the metal salesmen showing this info. Only Bix Weir. All of the others ignore this info like the plague. They don't want people to know that the metal market is totally controlled and it is all contracted in the future.

It is like having a crystal ball. You know what the price is going to be. And THAT is why they are going to hide it. Contracts are legally binding. Prices need to be settled at the contracted prices. The law is the law. All of the metal prices are controlled due to legally binding contracts. How can silver be allowed to go to 50 dollars if there is a legally binding contracts to fulfill silver contracts at 24.30 in Dec of 2024? A contract is legally binding. Knowledge is power.

There may be surprise contract settle prices that we won't be able to see.

I guess we'll see how much they remove and how badly this impacts us.

Looks like we could still see the data, however it'll cost us:

"FTP settlement files: CME Group will be removing all text file (.txt) data and related files from FTP.CMEGROUP.COM/settle as CME Group will no longer support the FTP site. These files will be moved to CME DataMine. Settlement data on DataMine will be available at the following times each day."

"DataMine: Retrieval fees equate to the applicable license fee plus the DataMine fee. If for internal use only, then only the DataMine fee applies. A client may purchase a subscription for $100/per month per product, $1,000/per month per DCM, or $2,000/per month for all DCMs."

So it looks like a license application and 100 bucks a month. License application?
