If it does not it will be natural to state what we paid for the shares. If we get no dividend before the end of the year the tax authorities will have no basis for an independent valuation and in practice I think what we paid for the shares will be accepted. I have to retract what I suspect what I stated in my pervious post. In Norway now market value goes for shares that are listed on a normal stock exchange. For other stocks it is net assets per shares that is the criterion as far as I remember. Thus stocks in Norway that trade on what corresponds to the OTC may often have a valuation in relation to the wealth tax that is a fraction of the real value of the stock.
