Naked Shorting is just that----sold short without investigating if there are shares existing that they are shorting against.

So the buyer of such sold shares is merely buying an electronic marker.

For many companies, if everyone who is long (thinking they actually own shares) would suddenly demand delivery of a certificate,
the demand would far exceed the amount of shares outstanding.

There are some companies that have a 150% short position. How is that possible???????

Yet the SEC does not care. As long as the merry-go-round does not stop, they ignore it.

They took the fractional banking idea of banks, and treat the stock market the same way.
