The reason why conservatives hate California is because it's reliably blue. Something they can never have. If there ever was an election where CA voted red it would be to them the best state in the union

Texas will vote blue before California votes red. And if Texas votes blue, California is gone forever, along with their chances of ever taking the presidency in their current whites only, racist bigoted incarnation. That's what chaps their ass the most.
