$VXIT Got some Facts to support " scanners don't prevent shootings." I Do: The answer is yes!!!
Regardless of the cause, the need for security detection devices in schools and public places is becoming evident. Compared to schools without metal detectors, New York City public schools with metal detectors show a reduced number of students carrying weapons (78% vs. 14%). Which leads us to ask, are metal detectors effective at making schools safer? At the end of the day the answer is yes.

I live in Texas and have 4 69 yrs & offer the following information why Texas is the #1 Market for 'Passive Portals' (our Zero-Radiation Walk-through Weapons Detectors!!!

$VXIT & 'Passive Portals' According to the 2021 State of Mental Health in America report, Texas ranks second among U.S. states with the highest prevalence of mental health challenges while, at the same time, ranking 50th out of 51 in overall access to mental health care. Adding fuel to that fire In Texas, guns are everywhere, whether concealed or in the open carry!! However Texas Governor Abbott calls Texas school shooting a mental health issue but cut state spending for it!!
Gov. Greg Abbott said Wednesday that the Uvalde school shooter had a "mental health challenge" and the state needed to "do a better job with mental health"yet in April he slashed $211 million from the department that oversees mental health programs.

Texas' Republican Governor Greg Abbott will not attend in person the National Rifle Association's (NRA) annual meeting starting on Friday, days after the elementary school shooting in Uvalde in which 19 children and two teachers were killed, NBC News reported.

The NRA's convention starts in Houston, where Republicans including U.S. Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and former President Donald Trump are scheduled to address the gun-rights group.

Data tracked by the Associated Press, USA Today and Northeastern University show the TEXAS suffered six mass killings by guns in 2022, and four more so far in 2023.
Texas has had the most mass killings of any state from 2015 to this year, 30 in total. The next highest state is California, which with about 9 million more residents had 27 total mass killings.
To live in Texas is to live surrounded by guns. It has been legal here to openly carry long guns like rifles for generations. “It’s part of being Texan.”
Texas has no state firearm sales registry, no required waiting period to buy a gun, no red-flag law guarding against the mentally ill or violent having weapons, no restrictions on the size of ammunition magazines and no background checks for guns purchased in a private sale!
Texans have purchased about 5.8 milli
firearms since 2020, more than any other state, that rate at which Texans purchased guns was nearly double that of California!
