I think when you make your final speech, you mold it to your audience. The jury this time were not angry nor vindictive. If they had been, Jag would have offended them all, but considering this group had to recognize they did very little to win, Jag's speech was on point.
He didn't deny, he didn't back away from his actions. If you noticed, in all goodbye speeches he took credit. Even in the end, he claimed the entire game went as he willed it, and it was true.
Matt could have been ticked that Jag and Bowie took out Cerie instead of Felicia, but he accepted the game as it went.
Had Jag booted Matt and taken Bowie (as I also thought he might), he'd have to defend his decision to take the easy route. However, I think he easily beats Bowie Jean. So instead, he argued his strengths.
I'm sure Bowie Jean had to consider that if she got out Matt and Jag, then she would be the biggest target. I'd say either way she played for 3rd, but she did have a very real chance that Jag might take her to final. Unlike the others, she didn't complain she was screwed over by them.
