A key thing to remember this horse only had to go once to the vet for the treatment. If you were to do radiation beam therpy, you'd be going in at least once a week for months. This is very difficult especially if you have to travel long distance with horses. They don't do well and can become life threating. Also if I recall, I believe the vet doctor mentioned there aren't many radiation beam therpy machines for horses in the US. Only a few if that.
