I can tell you that etrade could give a hoot about it's retail customers by their actions.

Last summer I noticed that my best bid or sell would not show on level two by increments of 100th of a penny which is how the stock trades. example...072. if the best bid was .072 I would be able to place my bid at .0721. Not no more folks because one of the market makers that etrade has, has decided to take interest in this stock and now if the best bid is .072 for me to show on level two I need to bump to .073.

I made numerous phone calls and was told that is just the way it is for the otc. Not all otc stocks. Just the ones where the MM finds it favorable to not allow the best bid or ask show for that particular stock. You can still place your order at .0721 I was told and it will be noted by the MM but. it will not show on level 2. More rape and plunder with the blessing of the SEC.

That's why when ever I hear the SEC is worried about the small guy, I mutter a flurry of nastiness because I know tha t is complete and utter nonsense.

So to read that etrade or any of the other MMs are engaged in actions to work a stock is absolutely not a surprise to me.

Pull your money and put in another brokerage you say? What brokerage is that? They don't care if you go.

I have talked to etrade countless time and it's always the same

bs.

If I was to go I would investigate scottrade.
