NJHowie, I think yours are among first posts I've read in 30+ years online that touched on muni bonds. I've long had funds in Vanguard short and Intermediate term muni bond funds and some individual bonds, usually BBB-rated or better. Often from my own state for the state tax benefits.

I'm a retired lawyer, and one son is a Big Four CPA.
