stepping in without full context

unless the WTS here are different from "normal" and so much here is not normal

the way it should work is

GOV decides to exercise its warrants --- in essence exchange the WTS for SHARES

The cost of that is de minimis - like a penny or whatever (I forget)

At that point - the Treasury owns the vast majority of common shares - say 4B to our 1B

And yes - some of us join you in hoping that the GOV uses the eventual SALE of these shares as a way to make money VS somehow converting its Senior Equity in the Form of Senior Preferred stock to common and maybe JPS

Once the GOV exchanges the WTS for the Shares - the GOV (TREASURY) owns them. That is a completely different step from selling them or otherwise acting on the shares it then owns. And yes - it is likely TREASURY--- especially if it kills the SP LP obligation - would sell slowly to maximize profit. NOTE --- KEY ---- NOTE - if the GOV at that time kills the SP/LP $ amount ----- per many others here - the PPS of the 5B shares -- ALL (ours and theirs) would be in the 20-30 dollar range that day
