This offer is not a reverse split. A reverse split is not an offer, it is mandated wherein your shares are decreased in a 10 for 1, 5 for 1 or some other ratio to reduce the outstanding share number. The price of the shares increases in direct proportion to the reduction of shares.

Your friend may be very wise and a wonderful person but they are in error in this instance.
