One key factor EVERY biotech company strives for, an element that is fundamentally VITAL to any biotech company and their products is a buzz word: "Scalable."

The process must be scalable, just had a meeting this morning that involved "scalability" of an assay (experiment) I am developing. I will be analyzing 1536 genes simultaneously. However, this will be for "proof of priciple" with the real product, ultimately, needing to be scaled to 250,000 genes.

The end product PLATFORM, will need to be able to be scaled too. So customers can buy our BASE platform technology, and purchase and use future products using the same base platform, but expanding upon the initial purchase. This scalability is what is attractive about our product/business model. The customers aren't required to buy an entirely new technology every few years.

well, the same goes DEFINITELY for XKEM. Once they iron out the AMAZING amount of wrinkles for processing and selling the drug, they WILL HAVE DEFINITELY worked out scalability issues as well. At that point, as with my company and ANY company, it WILL NOT MATTER if they produce one single pill, or 1 million pills. I know it SOUNDS like a lot, but with the automation (machinery) they purchased, especially the batch from Fisher Scientific, they can easily produce a million pills as easily as they can make 1 pill, TRUST ME. Don't allow the sound of numbers (IE: 1,000,000) throw you off.

When I developed my last product for my current company 3 years ago, I would spend multiple days processing one single DNA sample through our platform flagship technology. we spent several years operating this way, working out details, ironing out countless wrinkles, optimizing the process so it was very robust and reproducible each time. To make a long story short, now customers that own our platform can process 1 DNA sample LITERALLY as easy as processing 3-4 dozen per day using robots that fit on a table to, and do so in one day.
