If I want to search for a stock's background, I can find that at other places.
In reality, that can be difficult. Especially if it's a penny stock that's had its registration revoked, or its ticker deleted. Now, you may not be interested in information about issuers that are no longer active, but some of us are. What they were up to years ago may shed light on what their former management is up to now. It may also be useful to learn how they were raising cash, and more.
And while I'm not interested in tracking people who post here, I am interested in what individuals the SEC is looking at, and in what they were up to in the past.
History is good to know.
