I'm thinking more as a businessman than an investor. I think Mr. Blagman is trying to keep his expenses low. The show has natural low overhead since the 50 celebrities are guests and not paid actors. I think he is relying on the networks to bear the effort (and expense) of publicity. Reading between the lines of multiple statements I also think he is going to use buzz and surprises, the show itself creates, after the initial airing to garner interest in future episodes

As for the market, it is there. Look at the USA today or most newspapers-4 sections. 1-News (Politics, Crime, Natural Disasters), 2-Business, 3-Sports, 4-Entertainment. So, the market is there and already created in number 4. And I think you will see some athletes mixed in to cover number 3 somewhat. .

Celebrities create their brand by attracting attention to themselves. The 50 celebrities are all mic'ed at all times with 50 cameras. So nothing will get missed. Shows like Carson. Leterman, and Leno (and now Fallon Kimmel, Colbert) have at most 3 guests. Here there are 50. I love that concept in that there are more than 15 times the chance of creating "notable moments". Look what happened at the Oscars with Smith and Rock. And that was with a formal setting and best behavior. Here you are in a club setting with alcohol. This starts to vastly increase the 15 times the chance formula.

All the elements are there. It comes down to execution. I know...easier said than done. I am very hopeful.
