I'm not convinced our cases are even tangentially related to the Writ of Certiorari for the CHIP, and while there may be something orthogonally there, it would surprise me to have it solved via striking down rent control (which - is fundamentally flawed, on its own).

We do, however, now live in a trend of conservative courts - which I don't think is a bad thing, especially for the young now - as the older generation must reckon with their own overspending (plus QE cannibalized the youth, we've already paid your bills through poor employment and money printing).

What reason is there to subsidize high rental income for retirees at this point when our own citizenry is having a tough time even renting space to reproduce outside their parents' home?
