Number one hallmark/red flag of a bottom feeding basher that they don't want to admit or hear about.

Take an assertion that can't be proven or backed up with real concrete facts and then conflate with something that affects someone personally.
Put on endless repeat in hopes of swaying one (just one) person in their direction.

Example:
Cydy is down 96 percent since X date.
Losing money on your investment can affect people personally.
Therefore this person is down 96 percent on their investment.

No factual proof, no explanation and certainly no flinching from the party line. "Cuz I'm A EXPERT!" (financial, statistical, management, government, etc)
And, of course lump others that don't tow your party line in with that person.
What a bunch of tools! Sad, really sad.
