An interesting read concerning global warming.

Articles that compare today's temperatures to those 200 years ago fail to point out that 200 years ago was in the midst of the Little Ice Age that lasted for about 1400 till around 1860.

Temperatures now are about equal to the Medieval Warm Period that lasted from about 1000 to 1350. During this time period, the Vikings formed colonies half way up Greenland only to abandon them during the Little Ice Age.

What caused the Medieval Warm Period? I don't think is was camp fires. What caused the Little Ice Age? Reasonable climatologists are trying to figure out why and the Industrial Age may very well not be the culprit.

You may think that any climatologist that doesn't agree with the man made global warming theory is on the payroll of a big oil company and I may believe that those climatologists that do are looking for research money, but who is telling the truth?

Is it the United Nations stating that 2005 was the warmest on record?

Or is this true that global warming appeared to stop in 1998?

I remember the Y2K scare. Since I'm involved in the design and manufacture of electronics, I knew that the Y2K scare was full of crap. I'm not a climatologist, so I have to depend on others, but I tend to think that the current global warming scare is the greatest scam ever perpetuated.
