congrats on EXEL - it certainly has been a good stock to own overall (and this year too). Seems like you have done well in oncology.

Thanks. I just shows what stuborness and some luck can do for you. Hell, I have owned EXEL for more than 10 years, doing some buying and selling along the way so a payoff has been a long time coming as the stock price has been pretty flat the past 5 years.

I'm out of oncology for the most part except through some large pharmas (largest is GSK which has been a laggard in oncology although they do now have a promising IO portfolio IMO in light of the recent Roche data)

I think it is getting harder to pick winners in oncology now as there are so many players. Safer to play with the big boys but the smaller players can give you some juice but also cost you. For these small fry perhaps a more frequent buying and selling pattern can help cut some risk of a total washout. I was in for short time then and fully out of MGNX and dabbled a bit in the Natural killer cells area for a short time but fully bailed on that before getting hurt too badly.

Speaking of getting hurt, I bought a bit more ENTA today at $15.80 as it looks like a bottom is finally in. I thought the same a month ago on my last buy but was wrong as that was at a $4 higher price. Fortune favors the foolish.
