Do the math...when we had a 33K bid @$3.64, the price went as high as $3.78, that's when the dump of 160K started and dropped us down to low $3s. So just using that 33K @$3.64 they dumped into, if they cover those on average @$3.14, that's .50cents per share, times 33,000, that's a profit of $16,500....and still another 127,000 to cover. We've traded 33K yesterday and 17K so far today between $3.05 or so and as low as $2.88 today. So my answer to that is yes, they can make good money doing this. Still, part of me though puts the blame on dirty MMs. They can short under the guise of making a market for our shares. Like I mentioned yesterday, I watch a tight spread of $3.02 on the bid and $3.04 on the ask. Both had only a few hundred shares, yet I watched multiple thousands of shares get traded @$3.03. My belief is these dirty MMs short big orders like the 33K @$3.64, then proceed to manipulate the price to cover lower. I'd argue if it wasn't the MMs manipulating the price to cover, actual shorts would have retail to deal with, with no way of controlling upwards pressure on the stock, putting covering at their terms at risk. MMs have the ultimate power, in my opinion to play these games, but I've been wrong before.
