Hi Flo, I don’t know where your at with your eyes but if it’s cataracts, they pretty much have that down pat, I had both mine done 1 year ago, no problems. I also have AMD in 1 eye only luckily. When that happened I got some third hand information through my daughter of someone who developed AMD and found an eye care group that specializes in low vision, she claims they made special glasses for her that redirect the peripheral vision forward and now she can see faces, watch TV, and use a desktop computer with a large monitor (I don’t know what large means), smart phone is only a phone now, can’t do text or apps. and can’t drive, but she can see recipes on her monitor and cook.
I live in suburban Chicago so I don’t know if this is available where you live but it’s worth looking into if you have AMD.
