My theory is as follows.

What is the first thing Microsoft, Google Alibaba, Tencent etc. would say if you approached them this with this novel semiconductor, they tried it, they liked it and it worked. I think they would say, “hey, you have a nice product here, but we can’t rely on any one supplier.”

So, what did Raouf do to answer that objection? He built alternate suppliers. I think there is a business relationship here that no one can see.

This also answers the question as to why Bonnie and Raouf seem so indifferent to competitors coming into the market and answers the question that some how Raouf knew two years ago that competitors would be coming into this market. They know S7 can’t meet the demand, but they had to work out a way to get a piece while the big boys get it done.

This also answers the question as to why Bonnie can not technically articulate the S7 advantages. It is because it is all the same thing, just tweaked here and there for different customers in different applications.
