11:48 AM EDT, 08/15/2023 (MT Newswires) -- Ault Alliance (AULT) and two company executives have reached a settlement with US Securities and Exchange Commission to resolve the regulator's investigation into certain of the company's public disclosures and accounting for certain transactions, the company said Tuesday.
Under the terms of the settlement, the company will pay a civil penalty of $700,000 that was fully accrued in Q4 of 2022; Executive Chairman Milton Ault will pay disgorgement of $85,504 and a civil penalty of $150,000; and Chief Executive William Horne will pay a civil penalty of $20,720.
Neither the company, Ault and Horne admit nor deny the regulator's findings, which do not involve intentional misconduct, the company said.
Shares of the company fell 7.5% in recent trading.
