Call each of the companies on the SPAC list and ask them why they did not convert their shares and let us know what they say. Until that happens, I can only speculate that they were spooked by the banking crisis that coincided with the merger and chose to redeem instead.

Regarding the suggestion of a clause in the contract to cancel the merger unless a certain percentage of companies converted their shares, I don't disagree with that though hindsight is 20/20.

The benefits of joining NASDAQ however may in the end outweigh the loss of conversion dollars. Not sure Stellantis would be considering investing in NioCorp or EXIM Bank would have sent a Letter of Interest to loan NioCorp $800,000,000 if NioCorp was still on the OTC.
