A ludicrous fantasy that betrays a profound ignorance of how the world really works.

If Big Pharma wants a drug or even an entire company they move quickly so they can get it before their competitors. They certainly don't nickel and dime it on a bulletin board.

Neither do they:

" load up on the depressed stock before announcing the deal"

That would be grossly illegal and easily detectable by the sophisticated AI systems employed by the SEC and other regulators around the world.

This willingness to embrace frankly ridiculous conspiracy theories is part of the reason that crooks like Leo Ehrlich - and their accomplices like Mr. Bean - can continue to fleece their marks for decades at a time.

There is seemingly an infinite supply of Greater Fools.
