Well yeah...that's a big point that should not be lost. War of attrition normally but because the beliebers have continued their undying support of what is essentially a dead horse, vplm had had NO PROBLEM coming up with the moolah. If you were to go way back and read here what occurred, you would find a major amount of discussion and so called wisdom, the geniuses swore up and down 6 ways to Sunday for a long time, that vplm would never be able to handle the ongoing costs to fight the near bottomless pockets of the big dogs. BUT THEY DID AND THEY ARE STILL EASILY COMING UP WITH THE BUCKS BECAUSE WE GLADLY HAND IT TO THEM ON A DAILY SILVER PLATTER! So that's just another element of the big farce that was dumped down out throats. Same as the starving and mistreated and overheated puppy dogs splashed on your screens everyday to keep the cash flowing (not saying the animal support commercials are bogus, just using the example for illustrative purpose). So therefore you go on to say the next court dates should be great for vplm... WHY? You seem to think that the companies know they're in trouble and will have to agree to settlements. Is that right ? Is that what you think ?
If so, it's not gonna happen. The dots don't connect. If it was true, the only reason we are at this late date is because the litigation is continually pushed fwd, but that doesn't mean this same threat to the big dogs hasn't posed itself for a long time and demanded that they do SOMETHING SOON or the bomb with their name on it was inevitable and if they didn't do something forthwith, they left the threat of one of their competitors to snatch the patents up from under them at any time. And the longer they put that off, the more risk they were accruing, what with rising everything.

In other words DDR, the big dogs have seen for years and years that vplm could come up with the cash and we're not by any means, being worn down, yet they allow it to go on and dont seem the least bit concerned. There is A VERY GOOD REASON why they aren't scared. They know there's nothing to worry about because vplm will never be able to prove infringement, IMHO. And you know what else? Apparently there's many who already know this is the case and that's why the price drops instead of rises with all this alleged GOOD NEWS.
