Concerning the accusations made against TRUTH: They were sufficiently serious that I spoke with Ben on the phone about this issue. I read him quotation of things he was reported to have said on this forum. He flatly denied having made anything that could be misconstrued in such a way and pointed out the absurdity of the claim. This was not a two-minute conversation. He genuinely attempted to recall any statements he had made that could have been interpreted in the manner reported. He kept coming back to a simple line: “I don’t say things like that.” In my experiences conversing with him, I found that assertion to be accurate.

I posted this information on iHUB when it happened. Not worth my time to locate that message, but it is around somewhere.

You dislike a board where people are constantly criticizing KBLB. I dislike a board where people are constantly screaming about SLAM DUNKS, and success that will happen ‘soon.’ Whose dislikes are the most important?

Several posters, yourself included, have suggested that I and others like me should ‘move on.’ Now I am being accused of getting money for posting critical messages on this site. I gather these accusations may have been made before, but were deleted by the moderators. That suggests that your dislikes are more serious than mine and ought to be respected.

Posts on this board are only valuable to me if they discuss KBLB, not by mindless repetition about SLAM DUNKS coming soon, but debating and dissecting the latest PRs, financial statements, companies whose developments may impact KBLB’s ultimate success, and so on.

Others evidently value quite different things. What is the point of a post whose entire body is “Air Force funding is a SLAM DUNK”? Especially by this time, no argument is being made, no new information is being shared. Other than serving to irritate those who disagree, I cannot think of a single reason to make such a post.

Several meaty posts have been made pointing out the absurdity of claims of this type. I am unaware of any serious counter-arguments that were offered, just statements of the “I’m right, you’re wrong” type. Please feel free to offer counter-evidence, either historical or current.

Several critics (myself included) post messages that quote KBLB PRs, give their interpretation often in context with financial statements, other PRs, and so on. For the most part, these are not met with careful rebuttal, but suggestions to ‘move on’ or accusations of being a ‘basher.’ That speaks to me of the weakness of any counter-arguments.

I appreciate that you are far more nuanced than most of the boosters i am speaking about here. Hopefully you will recall I have expressed considerable agreement with some of your posts in the recent past.

Right now, this board on iHub is not healthy. With the increasing polarization and personal attacks, there is a good chance that one side or the other will tire of the low quality of the discussion or personal attacks and leave. The other side might conclude they have ‘won.’ That is not a good outcome for me, regardless of which side ‘wins.’ The losing side would have nowhere to share their thoughts and the winning side would be an endless echo chamber.

I dislike writing posts of this ilk, where I am talking about the dynamics of the board rather than about the company. I wish that people could take their responsibility to debate seriously. If someone makes a claim you don’t agree with, explain the faults in their reasoning and provide evidence to support an alternative view. You disagree with WebSlinger’s analyses of KBLB PRs? Dissect them and show where he went wrong.

This post is not a statement that I have always been doing the right thing and everyone who disagrees with me has never done the right thing. Clearly I have not always been on the side of angels and clearly those who disagree with me many times are. Instead this is a statement about the only path back to sanity on this board that I see.
