Hmm, so you have recent experience with what is and is not used in Chemical and Biological warfare, like the stuff Assad used in Syria and Saddam used in Iraq? Like the oxidizer chlorine gas used for drinking water treatment that is super dangerous if leaked, spilled or dumped on people in Chemical warfare attacks? Or chemical plant or railroad car accident leaks and spills? (Hint, I have).

Vitamins like Vitamin C have been used for 60+ years as an antioxidant to fight radioactive compound generated radiation exposure, and Bucillamine regenerates the Most important antioxidant in the body, Glutathione and thus should be way more effective that just Vitamin C.

The most potent carcinogen and oxidizer known to man is made by our own antibodies, Super Oxide Anion, and it does collateral damage to the body while trying to kill infectious agents. But it can not kill the oxidizing Chlorine gas. The two gang up add to the damage.

"Bucillamine has potential to attenuate or prevent damage during myocardial infarction, cardiac surgery and organ transplantation. Bucillamine, a cysteine derivative that contains two donate-able thiol groups, is capable of replenishing the thiol group in glutathione, thereby reactivating this endogenous defense against oxidant injury.

Bucillamine rapidly enters cells by the same mechanism that normally transports the amino acid cysteine.

Bucillamine is a more potent thiol donor than other cysteine derivatives: approximately 16-fold more potent than N-acetylcysteine (Mucomyst(R)) in vivo.

In addition bucillamine appears to have additional anti-inflammatory effects unrelated to its antioxidant effect.

Oral bucillamine is used clinically in Asia for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. There is a strong preclinical evidence that parenteral infusion of this agent is efficacious in acute settings characterized by inflammation and oxidative stress. "
