A.I. Regulations hearing yesterday was eye opening. The number of what is known as "Open Source" A.I. are out there for anyone to download and use anywhere in our world today with little care given to the risks or safety aspects of the wrong people using them for unlawful acts. The hearing can be found online to view and it is worth your time to view it. The key thing I took from it among many things is the control each company has with their own technology. Anthropic CEO spoke to their Claude creation A.I. Bot I assumed but they are still tweaking it to its final form with some more algorithms. Now they are supposedly doing the right thing whatever that means to them in instilling into this Bot creation Risk aspects, safety aspects of harm to humans and systems as well as Constitutional Law current form among other algorithms and information. Now what bothered me is that they are tweaking it to get this right so it is not harmful to people and systems from its operation/uses when folks get to use it. So do these tweakers, developers, workers, engineers agree with all that this CEO touted at this hearing? What if someone leaves that is doing the tweaking here do they take the technology with them to freely use it and update it for bad actions? What if someone gets disgruntled working here will they be able to do harm with implementing their own algorithms into this Bot? They have safeguards that they say they built into this Bot so it knows if someone asks it to do bad things, again whatever their interpretation of bad is to them? Seems to me that the horse has left the barn here and it is not coming back. In other words they have a 3 to 4 year start ahead of any kind of legislation which if in place could have staved off some bad issues which will be forthcoming without any doubt in my mind. You now in D.C. can write up and adopt any legislation you want to but you will run out of paper with all the items you have to input into this legislation and even with penalties or fines or threats of imprisonment you will be at a total loss as to who to fine or imprison here as each company has free will to do as they wish now. Now those companies that state they care still have the issue, as noble as are their thought processes here it makes no difference with one bad employee to implement their own hidden algorithm within this Bot undetected by others it can be done without their knowledge folks, so there is zero control in the end. So think about Anthropic here trying to do the right thing, they are limited in doing so solely on the trust of their staff and work force only, nothing more. So how does one handle then these existing Open Source A.I. available now on the web? These can simple be downloaded and manipulated by anyone, and that came up at the hearing and the experts all said something must be done immediately to curtail any issuse arising from them being available to anyone. Well ain't that just perfect now? That cat is out of the bag don't you thing there experts, you are all doomed here regardless of your well intentions and speeches. So folks the nexe coming of Christ will be soon as once this gets to the point of a Super A.I. Robot they call God, then the real Christ will be among us banishing all these phonies and their attempt to ruin this world. Sorry that is the only answer as legislation is already too late coming and A.I. is already out there and then the control for foreign nations is out there as well, how do we all control them?? Not going to happen. This has to be a multi-national agreement in place like yesterday, because today is already too late folks. Look up A.I. Regulation Hearing from July 25, 2023 Chaired by Senator Blumenthal.
Good luck folks we all need it.
