The National Board of the Screen Actors Guild is already approving that certain types of feature film productions can proceed during the strike. The primary consideration is that the financing for such a project is not occurring by an AMPTP member studio, or through a pre-sale contract to such a member studio. Essentially, if a film is independently produced and funded - such as the sorts of movies that Hannover House has been involved in - then actors will be allowed to appear in such projects. Accordingly, it is possible that higher stature stars may elect to appear in such a film, due to their availability.
Of course, this is only a theoretical benefit, but it is one that is already beginning to manifest in just the first few days of the strike (see DEADLINE HOLLYWOOD story).
Exciting week in store for Hannover House - stay tuned!
