Shareholders asked Lamberth to ask prospective jurors two additional questions at the beginning of next week’s second trial. Lamberth entered a paperless order denying the request and indicating he’ll ask the same questions he asked at the first trial. Below please find these 2 questions. My understanding, that these are the common questions asked at any trial. Whats wrong with it?
And why this issue appeared at the last minute before trial started?
1.Do you have any strong feelings or beliefs, positive or negative,
about the stock market or investors who buy shares in companies
that might make it difficult for you to serve as a fair or impartial
juror in this case? __yes __no

2.In a financial dispute between the U.S. government, on one hand,
and a company’s shareholders, on the other hand, before hearing any
evidence in the case, do you think you might tend to favor either the
government or the shareholders? Yes ___ No___
