CMT is the new target of the boycott Bud Light crowd. Here’s why they want it cancelled

The same folks who used to be against cancel culture have found something else to cancel over on your favorite social media platform owned by Elon Musk.
Seems like there have been a lot of things getting canceled across the past couple months.
Bud Light. Target. Garth Brooks.
And now … CMT.
That’s right, it looks Country Music Television is the newest thing targeted for cancellation by folks who probably would have told you they were big-time in the anti-cancel culture crowd this time last year.
So, what did CMT do to make the old “Go Woke, Go Broke” list?
Well, according to multiple reports, it has pulled Jason Aldean’s “Try That In a Small Town,” video from its airwaves.
That’s the same video that the country music star took to Twitter to defend as not being “pro-lynching video” on Tuesday. Considering he had to explain that — and a lot of folks were not buying the explanation — it is easy to understand why CMT might take a second look.
Checking out the backlash across social media — where the video has been accused of featuring “white supremacist dogwhistles” and promoting gun violence — it might become even easier to understand why the channel might want to review things.
But if everyone felt that way this story wouldn’t exist.
CMT’s mentions were getting lit up on Twitter.
“BREAKING: CMT just CANCELLED this music video by Jason Aldean about the Antifa-BLM riots,” Jack Posobiec wrote. “You know what to do.”
“I cannot believe Nashville is giving into the left’s Rederic,” someone else tweeted. “A song about a Small Town is now Racist? Small Towns & the Midwest Feed & Power this nation. It is time to add #BoycottCMT to the list with #BoycottBUdLight. When will they learn to avoid a battle with #MAGA folks.”
“Woke (expletive) organization,” another person wrote. “Go broke.”
“I don’t even care for Jason Aldean but if @CMT wants to go woke I guess you’ll end up like @budlight.”
“Time to say buh-bye to @CMT,” another person wrote. “I ain’t going to tolerate this woke (crap).”
And there is a lot … a lot … more where that came from.
So, it has been a rough couple days for Jason Aldean. It’s probably going to be a rough couple of day
