Rick is not the cause of any issues nor do I think he's a scammer. But Malainder on the other hand has a history and where the blame should be focused on. I also believe that Rick will eventually pull out of this deal because the stock is becoming too much of a liability to reaching his goals. When even he doesn't have an answer then you know he's as much in the dark as everyone else. IMO.
