I don’t think it’s Uniper, Rotterdam. The Uniper project starts in 2026, not in 2024.

Why the secrecy? Energy companies, whether green or not green, are happy to announce green investments.
It must be a competitor with not enough capacity.
I think it’s Linde for RWE in Lingen.

RWE ordered TWO 100MW electrolyzers from Linde (first one commissioning in 2024 and the second one in 2025). With production problems at ITM, I think ITM-Linde cannot deliver the electrolyzers on time.

In December 2022 Linde ordered a 35MW electrolyzer from Cummins for their plant in New York.

RWE orders two 100-megawatt electrolysis plants for GET H2 in Lingen

With almost two years left until the target date, GET H2, one of the most advanced hydrogen projects in Germany, is picking up the pace. RWE has ordered two 100-megawatt proton exchange membrane (PEM) electrolysers from Linde Engineering, the world’s leading industrial gas plant engineering company.

RWE plans to commission the first of the two plants in 2024 on the site of its gas-fired power plant in Lingen. The second plant is scheduled to start operating one year later. The two electrolysers are part of RWE’s efforts to build a total of 300 MW of electrolyser capacity in Lingen by 2026 as part of GET H2. Using electricity from renewable sources, the electrolysers will produce green hydrogen for industrial customers.
As production of electrolyser stack modules of this size takes several months, they must be ordered well in advance.
