In my dreams, certainly, but there are some Senate D anuses who would/could screw it up with their demands.
As I've stated before, if problems develop in the existing mortgage finance chain, this or some other WH could gin up Fannie and Freddie, which would dispel most grief from inside their own party.
But it would take that support to the quash inevitable Treasury opposition. Yellen never has been a GSE advocate, but she would listen to Biden if the party pros believe that action would help him/them win the 2024 election.
