TIRANA, June 30/ATSH/ This year, Albania holds the Presidency of the Energy Community, and in this position welcomed in Tepelena, on the edge of Vjosa, the newest national park, the Ministerial of the Community for the month of June.

The news was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, in a post on social networks.

"The decarbonization agenda, as one of the most important topics of the European Union, was one of the most widely discussed issues, but at this point our country is in a comfortable position," Balluku emphasized.

Minister Balluku said that "increasing the capacity of renewable energy was also one of the topics of discussion with colleagues, whom I introduced to the steps we have taken by focusing on wind and photovoltaic sources".

"Today we can proudly say that Albania is on a good path as far as the energy sector is concerned, receiving evaluations from the European Commission", said Balluku.

Present at this ministerial meeting was also the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Mirela Kumbaro, who in a post on social networks said that "where better than in Vjosa could we organize this meeting, the most meaningful symbol of the vision for the environment and the harmony of excellent between the needs for energy and infrastructural development on the one hand and the preservation of biodiversity values ??also through the increase of the area of ??protected areas".
