Unless a poster outright says, “I am [insert name here]” publicly, their identity is to remain wholly understood as whatever their alias is on the boards.

A surprising number of company insiders have posted here over the years. AND they've had no compunctions about identifying themselves. I've always found that bizarre, but it can be fun.
