Nothing to “explain”. People try things all the time then change course according to circumstances and move on the Plan B, C, or D.
The bogus RS nonsense has been hashed over ad nauseum.
By now, anybody worried about it has sold and moved on.
Everybody else has decided to accept the risk and nobody has the right to fault how they spend their money.
