Their patient selection was a group of young people that any reasonable doctor would prescribe to take 2 Tylenol for a couple of days.



Yes Tylenol might relieve some symptoms if you don't get very ill after contracting Covid but so what? Tylenol sure isn't as effective as Paxlovid if you do get very sick. Someone actually wrote the truly absurd comment that Advil is as effective as Paxlovid.

The CDC recommendation (update May26, 2023) are quite clear and the patient population that can benefit from Paxlovid or other effective anti-Covid drugs is very large.
